And A Movie
Valentine's weekend will see a dinner and movie combo package, sponsored by the Black Bear Film Festival at
the Milford Theatre. The theatre will be running films focused on love and food, and love of food.
And nine area restaurants are offering lunch, brunch, and dinner packages, often customized for those films. Choose a film and choose a restaurant.
If you participate in the program by eating at one of the restaurants, you can purchase your movie tickets right there, at 25% off. Or you can buy movie tickets at UpRiver Home or the Milford Theater. And of course, you can always buy the tickets online at the blackbearfilm.com site, where you will see a list and description of all the films available.
CALLING ALL PIE MAKERS!
In honor of Valentine's Day and the film Waitress, The Black Bear Film Festival will be hosting an APHRODISIAC PIE CONTEST
Contestants will create their original version of an "Aphrodisiac" themed pie.
The top three pies will be judged on the stage of the Milford Theater before the 5:00 screening of Waitress
3rd Prize: 4 Tickets to any movie at the Milford Theater during the year (excluding gala nights)
2nd Prize: Two Free Gala and Movie Passes to the Black Bear Film Festival in October
1st Prize: Two Gold Passes to the Black Bear Film Festival in October
To enter, bring your pie to St. Patrick's Church on Sunday, February 5 between 12 and 2. All pies will be judged privately. Three finalists will be notified Monday morning. Finalists will be asked to bring another pie to the Milford Theater on Saturday, February 11 at 4:00 for the final judging in front of the audience
